Alfie’s Paralympic Success

Posted on

ABC Sponsored Alfie Hewett returns home from his first Paralympic Games in Rio with not one, but two silver medals.

18 year old Alfie battled through the men’s singles rounds, defeating seeds 7, 4 and 2 along the way, before losing out to his doubles partner (and roommate), Gordon Reid in the Wheelchair Tennis final.

Alfie and Gordon narrowly missed out on gold medals in the men’s wheelchair doubles final in a three set thriller against the French number 1 seeds.

Everyone here at ABC Taxis are extremely proud of Alfie and all he has acheived this year. Well done and we can’t wait to see what Tokyo 2020 brings!
